HOW DO I WASH MY STAPLE ITEMS
All of our care instructions can be found on the label, typically sewn into the right-hand inner side seam of your garment.
We know life moves fast - between early meetings, coffee runs, and after-work catch-ups, your wardrobe needs to keep up without the stress. That’s why we design each piece to be as long-lasting as it is timeless and a little care goes a long way.
For best results, we recommend dry cleaning your Staple & Story pieces to preserve their structure, shape, and elegance, especially for our tailored and statement styles. If washing at home, always follow the garment’s care label closely.

WHAT IS MY SIZE
We currently offer sizes XS-XL with hopes to extend the sizing in the future. For more detail on sizing, please refer to our size guide.
RETURNS
How long do I have to return my order?
We hope you love your Staple & Story piece, but if you change your mind, you have 14 days from delivery to notify us and return.
How do I start a return?
Simply email our customer care team at orders@stapleandstory.co.uk with your order number and reason for return. We’ll guide you through the next steps.
What condition should items be in?
All items must be unworn, unwashed, and returned in perfect condition with tags attached. Please take care when trying on we can’t accept returns with makeup, deodorant, or perfume marks.
Do you offer free returns?
We don’t currently offer free returns, but we do our best to make the process simple and stress-free.
For refunds, a £5 handling fee plus the cost of the prepaid return postage label will be deducted from your total. This way, your return is fully tracked and secure.
Exchanges are always free of charge — we’ll cover the cost to get your perfect piece to you.
When will I receive my refund?
Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund within 14 days back to your original payment method.
Can I return sale items?
Unless marked as final sale, sale items can be returned under the same policy as full-price items.
Can I return an order because of customs or duties?
We’re not able to accept returns due to customs or duties. These charges are applied by your local customs authority and remain the responsibility of the customer. We recommend checking your country’s import policies before placing an order to avoid surprises.
